Biography of

Reverend Marcettes L. Cunningham, D.Min.
Pastor Cunningham
Marcettes L. Cunningham is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio. In the tradition of our cultural forefathers, Pastor Cunningham is a powerful preacher of the Word of God. He preaches the uncompromising Word of God with passion, conviction, and precise clarity. His expository preaching style attempts to expose the truth of the biblical text while showing the picture behind words in that text of scripture.

Pastor Cunningham holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Faith Evangelical Seminary, Tacoma, Washington; as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.

Converted and called to the preaching ministry under the pastorate and tutelage of Reverend George O. Stewart at Zion Chapel Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio; since arriving at Mount Zion in October of 1994, he has been carrying out the vision of ministry God has given him for that congregation through a three-fold ministry mission of evangelism, discipleship, and missions.

Pastor Cunningham’s extensive ministry includes a live audio webcast through www.wcanradio.com on Sundays, 10:55 a.m. – 11:55 a.m. and a weekly outreach webcast at www.wcanradio.com on Monday evenings from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (EST). He has preached on the continent of Africa in the country of Kenya and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. He is a Jerusalem Traveler having toured the Holy Land in May of 2005.

Pastor Cunningham is a seasoned revivalist, passionate evangelist, and an esteemed facilitator and teacher. He has served as an adjunct professor at Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio; and teaches annually for WHW Ministries Expository Preaching and Teaching Conference in Los Angeles, California. Pastor Cunningham has served as teacher or guest lecturer for numerous conferences, conventions, and seminars at various levels including, but not limited to, the inaugural Biblical Exposition Conference, Chicago, Illinois; Oikodome School of Biblical Studies Summer Exposition Conference; as well as denominational teaching and preaching on an associational and state convention level.  He has preached nationally for National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Women’s Department and the National Missionary Baptist Convention’s Evangelical Board and Sunday School Congress and BTU.

In addition, locally, Pastor Cunningham currently serves on the Steering Committee for Elyria 2015. Pastor Cunningham is married to Sis. Felicia Michelle, and they are the parents of one son, Raymon James, and a daughter, Imani Moriah.
